October 4th

27 days!!!

Well there isn't much of an update today.  We are getting things prepared for the Art Fair.  Alicia bought a lot of frames yesterday and we are getting pictures ready to be printed.  We are also working on a display board with all the kids pictures on them.  I'm not really sure when we will accomplish over the next week, but I am sure it will get done somehow.  We saw Dan, Chris and Sylvia off to Mexico VERY early in the morning yesterday.

"Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.  But Peter and John replied, 'Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God's sight to obey you rather than God.  For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.'" - Acts 4:18-20

"Apre sa, yo fe rele apot yo, yo pase yo lod pou yo pa janm pale ni moutre pep la anyen nan non Jezi.  Men, Pye ak Jan reponn yo.  Jije nou nenm kisa ki pi bon devan Bondye.  Obeyi nou osinon obeyi Bondye.  Pou nou menm, nou pa kapab pa pale sa nou we ak sa nou tande."  Travay 4:18-20

I think I am going to add a Creole phrase or word to these emails too.  Because I need to brush up.

Bondye li bon tout tan = God is good all of the time
Diabla li movay tout tan = The devil is evil all of the time

Unfortunately, I don't know how to type out pronounciation haha.

He can be a practical joker as well with a great sense of humor and dispoition. Elisee is also very compassionate and serious about things important to him. His brother is Robinson.

Chabine is a very smart, friendly girl with definite leadership skills. One of six children, Chabine grew up in a small village near Cap Haitian in northern Haiti. She came to Port Au Prince to beg on the streets. At a young age, her father went to the Dominican Republic and never returned. This devastated her and her family and caused much pain. Her mother was forced to provide for the family but when it became too difficult, decided to move to Port Au Prince with Chabine and a 10 year old son. They ended up begging on the streets to survive. She is now happyily living in a safe place where people love and care about her. She especially loves school and writing is her favorite subject. She wants to be a teacher one day.
